Goblin Island - 2017
Goblins should be scary, as the renowned Spiderman, whose nemesis has always been a Goblin, well knows.
“Our” Goblins, the legendary figures of progressive rock founded by Claudio Simonetti in the crazy and imaginative 1970s, are masters of horror, a feeling that they have been able to convey in the soundtracks created for Dario Argento, the iconic figure of this genre.
Yet these great musicians, who bear the name of goblins, also know how to entertain and amuse, because people have always tried to assuage and exorcise their fears through the celebration of the macabre and grotesque, as is proved by the fact that ancient yet ever new festivals like Halloween are alive and well in our days.
The performers of Profondo Rosso and Suspiria will play tonight at the Campus Industry in Parma to renew this partnership between fear, exorcism and fun: a mystical game that flies on the wings of progressive rock and attracts both the generations that grew up with these sounds and young enthusiasts who are fascinated by the alchemy that this music can produce.
L’Isola d’Oro wanted to participate in and partner this musical event that includes art, showmanship, invention and revolution.
The fact that the concert coincides with the upcoming Christmas holidays makes it all the more grotesque, mysterious, magical and absolutely unmissable.
Follow the flow of energy, follow the notes, the emotions, the fear, the music, follow L’Isola d’Oro in this nocturnal adventure.
